The Réseau des SADC du Québec is a network of non-profit agencies that work at making the regions prosper and ensuring their development. The Réseau currently has 57 CFDCs and 10 CBDCs, all self-governed. It also stands for 1,350 volunteers and 400 professionals who have been seeking solutions and acting in the best interest of our communities for more than 25 years! It has assets of $200 million. Every year, more than 9,300 businesses and organizations benefit from the services of a Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC) or Community Business Development Corporation (CBDC).
Its mission: Act as focal point for CBDCs and CFDCs in promoting their interests and their expertise, and in sharing and developing innovative tools to ensure the development objectives of their communities.
Its vision for 2010-2015: Sustained by the strength of our directors, the expertise of our professionals and the relevance of our tools, CFDCs and CBDCs will be the leaders and forerunners in the diversification of our communities, going forward in a sustainable manner. |
For more than 25 years now, CFDCs and CBDCs have contributed toward stimulating communities so they can take hold of their future, due to the creation of the CFP (Community Futures Program) in 1986. It is a unique program that, for the first time, put communities and their representatives in charge of making their own decisions.
Today, the Community Futures Program has more than proven itself and receives international recognition by the OECD.
