The Strength of our organization: networking!

The creation of the Réseau des SADC du Québec goes back to May 6, 1995. At that time, CFDCs and CBDCs opted to join together in a network to highlight the importance of their interaction and to exchange and freely share their expertise, without compromising their differences or their autonomy.

A network of skills:

More than 1,350 volunteers offer time, energy, knowledge and skills to the CFDC or CBDC in their area. Among them are representatives from different economic sectors: professionals, lawyers, accountants, players in education and agriculture, who come from all over the territory. One of the strengths of our network is the fact that it can count on people who are in a position to identify the needs in their community.

The 67 agencies of the Réseau des SADC du Québec boast more than 400 professionals from different disciplines involved in local economic development. A satisfaction survey shows that, over the years, the professionalism of CFDC and CBDC employees always receives high marks.

Effective tools and programs:

The Réseau uses discipline and know-how in managing and developing programs and tools. Whether for their design, implementation or evaluation, effective measures have made the agencies invaluable players with a proven capacity to deliver services. The Youth Strategy, Business Support Fund, Small Business Internship Program and MIG are among the means implemented to meet the needs of CFDCs and CBDCs in their communities.

« Les SADC et CAE sont des ressources précieuses. Je suis bénévole depuis quatre ans auprès des Centres d'accès communautaires Internet (CACI) de ma région parce que je crois en leur importance. Les CACI sont l'un des nombreux outils de développement coordonnés par la SADC qui vient pallier à un besoin réel dans les collectivités. »
