Measures tailored to your needs are offered by CFDCs and CBDCs, whose staff can guide you toward the initiative that best suits you, whether it be an introduction to entrepreneurship, assistance for going into business, financing and so much more...

 

  • Camp Je
    A camp experience that will make you want to go into business! This activity helps 14- to16-year olds discover all the steps involved in founding a business.

 

  • Youth Strategy
    We take young people's ambitions seriously! This program offers personal loans, ranging from $5,000 to $15,000, to young people from 18 to 35 years old.  Such financing could be just the push they need to start up, expand or acquire a business.

After 13 years, the Youth Strategy, implemented in cooperation with Canada Economic Development, is:

  • $64 million invested;
  • More than 5,700 young entrepreneurs able to start up, develop, acquire or modernize over 4,000 businesses;
  • More than 18,000 jobs created or maintained in the regions;
  • For the 2008-2009 year, 51% of youth benefiting from the Youth Strategy had a DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) and 12% created their own job by becoming an entrepreneur.
