CFDCs and CBDCs can put financial resources at your service to support community projects. There are many sectors of activity that involve local economic development: sustainable development, recreation, tourism, new technologies, local purchasing, revitalization, welcoming of newcomers, etc. |
Over the past year, CFDCs and CBDCs financed 1,100 local development projects.
That stands for a total value of $8.7 million in investments.
"Getting a diagnosis of the manufacturing sector was a must in the Estrie region and in our MRC. The exercise paved the way for action to be taken by the governments and the community in order to prevent and limit the erosion of our industrial foundation and, especially, to restore vitality in the region, creating wealth in different communities. For the CBDC, it was an enriching experience that put us shoulder to shoulder with a wide variety of stakeholders. Once again, it is proof that there is strength in numbers."
